Construct the right triangle

Circumcentre is the point of concurrency of the perpendicular bisectors of the sides of a triangle. It is usually denoted by $S$ .

Also, the circle passing through all the three vertices of the triangle with circumcentre $(S)$ as centre is called circumcircle.

Steps of Constructions:

Step $1 :$ Draw a line segment, $Q R = 4.5 cm$ .

Step $2 :$ Now draw a right angle at $Q$ with the help of compass.

Step $3 :$ Taking a radius of $6 cm$ on compass draw an arc from point $Q$ cutting the ray of $90 °$ at point $P$ .

Join $P, Q, R$ . Thus, $△ P Q R$ is formed.

Step $4 :$ Construct the perpendicular bisector the sides $P Q$ and $Q R$ and they meet at $S$ which is the circumcentre.

Step $5 :$ With $S$ as centre, draw the circle which pass through $P, Q, R$ .

Thus, the circle with centre $S$ touching all the vertices of a triangle is the required circumcircle.
